Description:
This plant is known by many different names, including ‘spiralis’, ‘varispiralis’, ‘spiral-shaped’, due to its particular spiral shape. Being a rare and unusual cactus it is highly appreciated by green collectors all over the world. Its stem, which grows in a curly and swirling spiral, is of a bright green color and can grow up to 2 meters in height. It has sparse stiff white-yellowish spines, which follow the clockwise or counterclockwise direction. It is a must-have that cannot be missing in your cactus collection!
It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.
The best one is a very well-draining soil specific for cacti.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.

Cultivation and Propagation:
